I deal with queries, synopses, and manuscripts. I've been writing for many years, having published many articles on various subjects, film scripts, songs, and now manuscripts. Now I want to use my services to help those who are in need of a good eye to edit queries and manuscripts before seeking representation or publication.

Bottom line - it HAS to be romance based. . .

I accept all heat levels from sweet romances to full blown erotic - body parts and all

I WILL NOT accept bestiality, animal cruelty, racism, incest, pedophilia, necrophilia, anti-LGBTQIA, or abuse of any kind that's used to drive the plot. Rape can be mentioned as long as it's implied rather than written out and as long as it's not used to drive the plot. There's no such thing as a rapist with a kind soul, so. . .just no!

Pricing:

Queries:

Query Critique - $10

Query Edit, and Revisions - first two edits and revisions - $15; a third round will be extra $15

Synopses:

One to Two page Synopsis Critique - $10

One to Two page Synopsis Editing/Revision - $20

Three to Ten page Synopsis Critique - $15

Three to Ten page Synopsis Editing/Revision - $30

***Prices for synopses are for three rounds of edits. Additional edits are an extra $10 to $15.

Manuscripts:

Structural Editing - includes overall plot, characterization, conflict, theme, pacing, etc. (Partials - $375 & Fulls - $425)

Line Editing - includes sentence structure & tightening, dialogue, consistency, repetitive words, voice, fluidity (Partials - $200 & Fulls - $275)

Copyediting - includes spelling & grammar, fact checking/discrepancies, punctuation & capitalization (Partials - $100 & Fulls - $175)

Partial Manuscript Evaluation - includes one read through & an editorial letter (one pass) - $55

Full Manuscript Evaluation - includes one read through & an editorial letter (one pass) - $75

***Partials include up to 50 to 75 pages of your manuscript

***Prices are for 3 rounds of edits each

Package Plans:

*Package Plans are for anyone that want the whole shebang; all areas of editing, (especially for package plans one and two. It includes structural editing, line editing, and copy editing combined with edits and revisions for queries and synopses.) Prices can vary depending on how much or little you need, so don't let the pricing discourage you. You never know what your manuscript might or might not need until you reach out. Prices can lower when there aren't as many revisions that has to be done:

Package One - includes query letter, synopsis, and partial manuscript edits and revisions - $720

Package Two - includes query letter, synopsis, & full manuscript edits and revisions - $920

Package Three - includes query letter edit/revision, synopsis edit/revision, & partial manuscript evaluation - $100

Package Four - includes query letter edit/revision, synopsis edit/revision, & full manuscript evaluation - $120

*NEW* #AmQuerying Package - includes query letter, 2-3 page synopsis, and the first 15 pages of your manuscript - $50

NOTE: for packages three and four, edits are only for queries and synopses. manuscripts only get evaluations

***Package Plans will consist of 3 rounds of edits. Additional edits will result in varying prices

Developmental Editing:

Consultations will be for any potential client who has a story idea and a partial manuscript completed but need help on the development in order to complete the story. My fee for this type of service will be considered on a case by case basis, but a ball park figure will be around $75-$125, depending on how much or little you need. Once your manuscript is completed, feel free to contact me for another booking with the appropriate down payment if you need additional services.

Files and Formats:

Word doc (.doc or .docx) is fine but I can also work with pdf and rtf. (for the time being)

Free Sample:

I'm now offering a free five page sample edit/revision on manuscripts before anyone decides to book an appointment. That way, you'll get to see how I work and you can decide if I'm the right editor for you.

Payment Method:

At the present time I'm only able to accept payments using paypal. If you don't have an account, signing up is easy and free. Down payments are non-refundable. Why, you ask? If a client books time with me, it means I won't be available during that time to help someone else. Canceling any editing service will mean I'm losing income when I could have spent that time helping another potential client. This is why a non-refundable down payment is necessary.

***Structural and Line Editing down payment is $75

***Copyediting down payment is $25

***Package Plans One and Two down payment is $75

***Package Plans Three and Four down payment is $25

***Fees for queries, synopses, one-pass evaluations, and the #AmQuerying Package are needed up front (no down payment necessary)

Submissions:

Please don't send unsolicited material until we've had at least one or two consultations (email inquiring about services, plus your free sample if applicable.) Only then will I accept material based on the instructions I give you. In general:

***Partials and Full Manuscripts can be emailed as an attachment

***Free Samples, Queries, Synopses, and clients of the #AmQuerying Package are to paste all material in the body of the email!
